As time goes on through life you realize that moments which meant so much to you are now memories. Things that you held dear are now just diary entries. Friends that you thought would last forever are now emails that you receive twice a year. Life changes, and it changes FAST. One thing never changes though, the unfailing love of a Savior. The one who holds the whole world in His hands, but me--He holds close to His heart. Mistakes I have made He has washed with His blood. Things I have done I am ashamed of, He has erased from history.
Sometimes I sit back and wish that life was just as it was my senior year of high school [which, when I look back I realize that wasn't the greatest either]. Then I look at myself now and I wonder what I would be like if that me had continued? If God hadn't set up divine appointments for my life to belly flop then to do a 360, where would I be? Who would I be? I used to resent God for changing my life and not letting me live it, but then I realized that He gave me the greatest gift of all. His love to me and fact that He does have the whole world in His hands. So, just as this amazing song says, "I'm not going back, I'm moving ahead". And in 10 years if my life is totally different from where I am now, I'll just keep moving. Knowing that He is holding my hand every step of the way.
